What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture has been used for the past 4,000 years to restore health by assisting the body’s natural energy source (Qi) to flow smoothly. Very fine needles, almost as thin as a hair, are used to stimulate acu-points just under the surface of the skin. This stimulation helps energy to circulate throughout the body, bringing balance to all of the organ systems. While needles sound scary, most patients find acupuncture to be virtually painless and incredibly relaxing. What Does Acupuncture Treat? Currently, the World Health Organization recognizes over forty conditions successfully treated with acupuncture. The following are common conditions that can benefit from acupuncture treatment.
